UUUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH

Ok, I don't want to vent at anyone in particular, so I'm just going to vent to everyone. Ok, go grab your favorite coffee mug and pour a strong one. I need to list some stuff:

I don't have a job. I don't have any money, mostly due to lack of job. I am getting married in T-32 days. I feel like there's so much left to do. My mom has something going on that can't be avoided, so she won't be around much until the week of the wedding. My ShyShy dog is chewing the pads of her paws off. I'm going to have to get her one of those damn elizabethan collar things until her paws heal.

Those things do not look good on any dog, especially a pit bull. I broke my favorite flip flops while trying to carry said dog down stairs today. I had to clean her paws with peroxide solution to fight infection and she yelped and whined and cried and it made me feel like the worst dog mom EVER. I feel chubby. I am agravated with my hair and my skin. I feel like I have no direction because I have no job thus making me a worthless member in society. I'm nervous the weather is going to turn craptastic for the wedding.

Ok, so here's some good things, as I would like to remind myself that life isn't all that bad.
My bachlorette party is this weekend, and I have the best friends and bridesmaids in the universe. I have a super hot dress I'm going to wear, but first I have to figure out how to make a duct tape bra to hold up the girls since it's backless. Hoo-ah! We're going to hit up some good spots, and I'm excited to have a fun girls night. My MOH Alyson got us some rooms at a swanky near by hotel, so we just have stumble, er, walk back.
I'm currently sipping a creme-bru-le coffee at Scooter's. I got a free upgrade to the 20 oz. mmmmm. In six days I have driven a total of 41.8 miles. I even ran and walked to swim practice a couple times. I really enjoy that. The running is great exercise, but walking home from the pool saturday felt great. it's been a while since I've just gone on a Walk for transportation versus a run to nowhere. i think i might continue that on Saturdays. Run in the morning before practice, and stop at the pool. Swim, walk home.

Ok you're right. I'm feeling better already.

Redman Iron Distance 2009

Ok, so CornDog (my iron partner in crime for 2009) and I have decided on an ironman. It's not an Ironman event, per se, but it's an iron distance. There's a bunch of pros and cons for the event, especially for Corey, as this will be his first trist in the the land of all things Iron. Actually, this will be his first venture into the land of triathlon. No, RedMan won't be his first tri, believe me, Coach Corky will get him some experience. And it's not like he's a total newbie- he's one of *those* people. Those 100 mile rides for the helluvit and 12 mile runs in 100 minutes just because he can. Yeah, *one of those.*
Anyway, here's some of the cons:

-Not the big fancy schmancy hoorah of the Ironman Trademark events
-Not 2200 other athletes to keep you motivated
-Not somewhere exotic like Florida, or Cananada, or Cancun

Ok, I know there's more, but since I'm stoked about RedMan, I'm seeing all the pros:

-It's in Oklahoma City, which is driving distance, and not the drive all freaking day driving distance, but get up and leave in the morning, be there by the time check in opens driving distance
- After reviewing a few year's worth of results, I see that I could very possibly place top 3 in my age group, instead of 12 like at Florida last year
-The Cheapest entry fee for any Iron distance in North America, and you can enter up until like July, or something like that
-The race date. Late September is decent weather, and weather similar to what I will train in. This also means that my season won't last from April to November, unless I decide to do the ChiTown marathon or something else to that effect

So, there you have it.

RedMan, it is.

The Flower Guy's Alive!

Whew. Just got an email from the florist apologizing for not contacting me. Due to escalating overhead, he closed the store front, but still has his home studio and is doing events and weddings only now. That's fine with me!

Ok, so, I don't have to freak about that, at least!

I'm a PC, and I'm a Human Being

I saw this last night with Chrissy and FBJ while watching TV. FBJ is the big Mac Attack dude in our group. Chrissy and I love our PCs. So, we nearly pee'd ourselves when this came on.

Just Over a Month

About a month until I become a Mrs- Eight years in the making. Ahh! Today I'm working on wedding stuff, and I have encountered a minor problem.

I think my florist may have packed up and left shop. I keep calling and calling and the phone is disconnected. I just sent an email. While I don't expect an immediate response, it sure would calm my fears.

My little brother moved back to KC this week from Minneapolis and I'm making him do a drive by of their location to make sure there's still an open sign on the door. If so, they better call me! I freaking out, man.

HelloMoto

I got a call from Moto Michele in Maylasia yesterdayon her way to work (8am there, 7pm here). I just wanted to say to P&G that it was entirely work related for that hour and that it wasn't a personal phone call.
Just ya know, when she turns in that international calling charge. :)

Not So Happy Housewife

Well, I'm pretty certian the whole stay at home housewife thing isn't for me. I've officially been unemployed (well, underemployed if you count my 4 hrs a week coaching swimming) since Wednesday evening, and this is everything I have done in that amount of time:

Thursday- Sat at Scooter's Coffee shop for nearly 8.5 hrs using the internet to whore myself out-er- post my resumes and apply at several businesses.

Friday- Cleaned. No, really, like, scrubbed the grout in the bathrooms with Clorox and a tooth brush cleaned. Ran a couple earrands that I've been "too busy for." Then managed to realize that I actually missed my run because I waited too long for said earrand and the future in-laws were ariving momentarily.

Saturday- My fiance bestowed upon me the gift of a cold. We're really taking the "in sickness" part of our vows quite seriously. Coached at 7:30am, cleaned the car, had hair and make up trials for wedding done, visited the wedding venues with said FIL's (future in-laws). Then made my way to the most bitchin bridal shower ever. I love my friends and family, I seriously think I have the most fabulous bridesmaids in the world. Came home, drank wine, passed out from a wine/sudafed OD on the couch.
Here's all the great ladies from the shower! My mom is on my left, and my grandma is directly above my right shoulder.

Sunday- made breakfast, saw the FIL's off. Slept on kitchen floor, because it's cold, with the girl dog. Finally got up about 5:30 with Fi (fiance, see look, there's tons of fun wedding acronyms and abbreviations). We put on our running shoes, but within minutes made it a sickness induced walk. We held hands the whole time and looked at the brandnew fancy houses in our neighborhod. They're 300k, but I like our little house better. We came home and went to sleep.

Finally, Monday, today, I woke up and coached, came home and slept again, and ::gasp:: didn't have to get up and leave for work at 6:30am. That was nice and all, but I spent an hr talking to FI about my dcreased feelings of self worth because I lost my job. Very sweetly he told me "You're not worthhhlesss." Aww. Then I made beds (we didn't sleep together because he's afraid to contract my sickness as he's getting over his), made breaky, cleaned, cleaned, and disinfected. Played with the dogs, and did some more job searching. Thus, you find me here, parked on the floor of FI's boat shop, bumming the wireless and doing well, nothing.

I don't think the stay at home housewife thing is going to be for me. All that cleaning, and getting up whenever. Um, I'm a schedule girl. Consistency is my friend.

I'm thinking tomorrow morning, however, I may be feeling up to a little run, if I don't wake up gagging on my phlem.. and the rest of you will be heading to work. Ha! Maybe I'll just jog into somewhere with a stack of resumes.
